‘RHOA’ Star Phaedra Parks Lands Bravo Spinoff ‘Rich People’s Problems’

Yet another Real Housewives of Atlanta star has landed her own spinoff.

Phaedra Parks, who joined the reality show in its third season, will star in her own series, which is currently going by the working title Rich People‘s Problems. The series will follow her career as an entertainment attorney who caters to a famous and wealthy Atlanta clientele.

“When the rich and famous of Atlanta have a dispute, they know that only one lawyer will deliver some cold, hard justice: Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Bravo said about the series. “Whether it’s friends battling over an $8,000 loan or accusations of stolen Chanel handbags or confusion over a prenuptial agreement and whether it entitles you to two or three live-in staff members, the rich certainly have an odd sense of what qualifies as a problem in today’s world, and Phaedra will be there to help them sort it all out.”

Attorney and reality star are just two of the many hats Parks wears. She is also an aspiring funeral home owner, a workout video instructor, and a stun gun designer. On top of that, she is a wife and soon-to-be mother of two. The 42-year-old’s first child, Ayden, was born in 2010. While little Ayden initially wanted a baby sister, Parks said he is excited about his future brother’s arrival.

“He’s such a great helper,” Parks told In Touch in February. “He’ll be a wonderful little brother because he likes to help and he’s so smart.”

However, the pregnancy hasn’t been easy on Parks, who is planning to have a C-section at the end of May.

“Doctors have diagnosed me with placenta previa, which means I need to be careful this time around because I can’t have a vaginal birth,” she said. Placenta previa is when the placenta lies unusually low in the uterus. If the placenta is still too close to the cervix later in the pregnancy, bleeding can occur, forcing an early delivery. Despite the condition, Parks said she and her husband Apollo may still consider having another baby.

“I would entertain a third child, but I would have to guarantee that it was a little girl. I think that would be plenty after that,” she said. “I’m just super excited for this baby to get here!”
