‘Today’ Show’s Jenna Wolfe Comes Out, Expecting A Baby With Girlfriend


Today’sJenna Wolfe came out as gay during a segment of the show on Wednesday. The weekend anchor also announced that she is expecting a baby girl with her life partner. Stephanie Gosk, Wolfe’s significant other, is a correspondent for NBC News.

Jenna Wolfe’s coming out follows similar announcements by Anderson Cooper, Thomas Roberts, Don Lemon, and Sam Champion. During an interview with People, Wolfe had this to say about her decision to announce to the world that she is gay:

“This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to us. But I don’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is.”

Stephanie Gosk and Jenna Wolfe has reportedly been a couple for three years. The pair of journalists first began talking about starting a family in 2012. Wolfe said that they spend a lot of time on the road for work and called it a “miracle” that they were able to find the time to begin creating a family.

Wolfe and Gosk live in New York, where gay marriage is legal. The couple plans to exchange vows in the near future, but are reportedly more excited about the arrival of their little bundle of joy.

The Today weekend anchor also wrote about expecting a baby with her girlfriend in her blog. Jenna Wolfe, 39, is about five months pregnant. Wolfe is often referred as a daredevil. The Today host has gone swimming with sharks and jet-packed 30-feet out of the water. The weekend anchor said that even with her track record of adventurous milestones, announcing that she was pregnant garnered the most shock from her family and friends.
