Jessica Simpson‘s memoir Open Book officially released February 4. To celebrate, she took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to share a stunning black-and-white photo of herself holding a copy of her memoir.
In the photo’s caption, Jessica called the day one of the best of her life, since it is the day she gets to “share her truth” with her fans. Throughout the past few weeks, little snippets of the book have been shared, including an inside look at her marriage to Nick Lachey and her struggles with addiction and diet pills.
Despite the difficulties she has faced in life, Jessica is opening up about her mistakes and troubles, admitting in the photo caption that through that acceptance, “we are bigger than the monsters and stronger than our fears.” She finished the caption by challenging readers to use her own work as inspiration to open their own books.
Jessica looked stunning in the black-and-white photo that accompanied the caption. For the shot, she wore a long-sleeved animal print top with dress pants. Her long hair was styled down with some curls. She stood in what appears to be the courtyard of house, with bay windows and landscaping visible behind her. She smiled broadly as she held a copy of her memoir. She seemed to keep her makeup natural and her nails were painted a light color.

This is one of the best days of my life because I get to share my truth with you. By accepting and leading with our mistakes, we show ourselves that we are bigger than the monsters and stronger than our fears. This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine. I challenge you to do the same, and use my story as inspiration to open your own book. ???? #OpenBook
