A leaked copy of Windows Blue build 9364 has shown up on several file sharing websites. The downloadable ISO file is large at 2.63GB.
According to the report, the ISO was delivered by a Microsoft partner in France. The new build shows several improvements for the Windows Phone 8 platform including a choice of smaller or larger Live Tiles on the Start screen.
Microsoft is also said to have added better multi-tasking for apps on the Windows Blue Build 9364.
Also added into the mix is the option to run two apps with a split screen that are equally divided by width.
Build 9364 also includes more accent colors, further SkyDrive integration, and updated charms.
Internet Explorer 11 is included with the Windows Blue leak build; however, any new features that might be available were not revealed.
Microsoft is still working on the Windows Blue build and is expected to announce a public preview in the next couple of months.
Windows Blue is expected to be released before the end of 2013.
Microsoft has experienced brisk sales for its Windows Phone 8 OS. Even with decent sales, the company has faced a lot of criticism based on the OS’ new design.
While the leaked Windows Blue build has not been confirmed by Microsoft, the OS’s new options match previous rumors about deeper integration, better multi-tasking, and the inclusion of several other new features.
