The upcoming Evil Dead remake continues to entice moviegoers with a new clip and poster.

The new video shows our heroes gathered inside the infamous cabin in the woods as they attempt to figure out what is going on. As theories are tossed around, a girl shuffles into the room with a shotgun. Without giving too much away, some iconic Evil Dead imagery soon follows.

The new poster is essentially a showcase for the positive reviews the film has received in recent days. You can find all of the latest promotional material embedded below.

The film has been officially described as follows:

“In the remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”

The remake was directed by Fede Alvarez. The filmmaker recently revealed during a screening in Australia that writing had already started on Evil Dead 2. The studio is certainly hoping that the upcoming remake makes a tidy sum of money at the box office next month.

In other Evil Dead news, Oz the Great and Powerful director Sam Raimi said that he expected to begin work on the Evil Dead 4 script later this year. If the project moves forward, it would be the first new entry in the original franchise since Army of Darkness.

Producer Rob Tapert later explained that the proposed project would be Army of Darkness 2 and not Evil Dead 4.

“That would be ‘Army of Darkness 2.’ Everybody calls it ‘Evil Dead 4’ but ‘Army of Darkness’ wasn’t called ‘Evil Dead’ anywhere except by the fans,” he said.
