‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 3 Releases ‘Enemies’ Teaser [Video]

Game of Thrones Season 3

Game of Thrones has released a new teaser for Season 3 titled “Enemies.” Like the title, the spot is pretty “bad guy” centric, insomuch as the morally gray characters of Game of Thrones can be put into such categories.

The spot features some great clips we haven’t seen yet, including a tense conversation between Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, a strained Robb Stark solemnly swearing he will “not stop until they have justice,” and a playful Daenerys Targaryen promising someone she will show he or she “no mercy.”

There’s also a pretty cool and slightly creepy shot of Cersei around the 0:13 second mark, where someone (let’s be honest, it’s probably Sansa) who is understandably terrified of her hides behind a “wooden door.”

Game of Thrones, HBO’s ridiculously popular fantasy drama series, returns for Season 3 on March 31, 2013. Here’s the synopsis:

“Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

“It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the Game of Thrones.”

In other Game of Thrones news, George R. R. Martin, who is still plugging away at the Song of Ice and Fire books that the series is based on, has a development deal with HBO that might include a GoT prequel series.

“Well I have been writing for a number of years, a series of novellas set in the same world, in the world of Westeros about 100 years earlier, about two characters called Dunk and Egg […] So, we have been playing with the idea of doing those, you know, as prequels. They would be prequels in a sense they’re 100 years earlier, but in the same world. They’re somewhat lighter in tone than the main series, a little more adventurous but my fans love them and I love the two characters too, and it all ties into Westeros.”

When asked if a prequel series was “something that you guys have been talking about in terms of a series?” Martin replied, “Yeah… yeah.”
