Google Delays Two Android Phones In China Over Censorship Issues

China Unicom has announced today that their two newest Google Android based devices have been delayed as the Cupertino, CA company continues to battle China over internet search censorship issues. The devices include an offering from Samsung and one from Motorola.

Both devices were set to release tomorrow, however since last week when Google announced they would no longer censor search results there has been a restriction on Google products.

It’s sad that the Chinese government has ever decided to filter search results, it’s even more sad that they feel threatened by a few phones hitting the market. I guess your government is only as strong as the newest Motorola smartphone, now there’s a scary thought. [Gizmodo]
