Jennifer Lawrence: I Was Bullied During School

Jennifer Lawrence may be sitting at the top of the entertainment world right now but it hasn’t always been that way. The Oscar winning actress recently admitted that she was bullied during school.

The bullying was so bad that Lawrence said that she actually had to change schools several times as a kid.

Lawrence said: “I changed schools a lot when I was in elementary school because some girls were mean.”

Lawrence told The Sun about one particularly mean incident during middle school. The Oscar winning actress said that one of the mean girls handed her a bunch of party invitations to hand out to the other kids in the class. Lawrence was not one of the people on the guest list.

But the actress handled the moment in stride.

Lawrence said: “They were less mean in middle school, because I was doing all right, although this one girl gave me invitations to hand out to her birthday party that I wasn’t invited to. But that was fine, I just hocked a loogie on them and threw them in the trash can.”

Lawrence survived being bullied in grade school and she learned a few lessons from her experience. The actress even developed a life motto: “Don’t worry about the bitches — that could be a good motto, because you come across people like that throughout your life.”

Lawrence has certainly learned how to deal with embarrassing moments…

Lawrence said: I’m one of the most untalented people. Literally, acting is the only thing I can do — and I don’t know if I really know how to do that.”
