Tamra Barney Is Not Happy About Lauri Peterson’s Return To ‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’
Tamra Barney is unhappy about Lauri Peterson returning to the Real Housewives of Orange County. Peterson was a member of the original cast on Bravo’s flagship Real Housewives series. Lauri left the show not long after she married her Prince Charming.
The current Real Housewives of Orange County star supposedly has a “history” with Lauri and is suspicious of the motives surrounding her return. During an interview with Housewives Hoedown!, Tamra Barney had this to say about Lauri Peterson’s return to the OC:
“Lauri came back to stir up some s**t, she really did. I think Lauri came back to try and get her job back. So she definitely stirred up a lot of stuff that even me, I probably wouldn’t have gone there.”
The Bravo Real Housewives reality show climate has changed quite a bit since Peterson’s time on the air. The first year of the RHOC show focused heavily on the wives and mothers aspect of cast members. Although one of the women on the show at the time was neither, she lived with a man with two sons, and her “storyline” focused on getting comfortable with the family dynamic.
Barney also feels that Lauri will have a “different way” of dealing with situations on her second go-round, according to Radar Online.
During the first season, or perhaps two, of Real Housewives of Orange County, the show appeared to focus more on real life and less on high school mean girl antics. Vicki Gunvalson and Jeana Keough were both loving mothers and independent businesswomen.
Some fans really enjoyed the peek behind the gates and glimpses of the opulent lifestyles the women lead. The original Real Housewives of Orange County focused on the everyday struggles and balancing at woman across the socio-economic realm all dealt with on a daily basis – that was a big part of the appeal for any viewers as well. Sure, there were some spats, but none of the venom spewing which permeates the Real Housewives shows now.
