‘True Blood’ Star Ryan Kwanten Turned Away At Oscars Party

Oscar night is all about movies and the stars that act in them. Just ask True Blood star Ryan Kwanten. The TV actor was turned away at the door of a huge Oscars party on Sunday night even after he attempted to get someone “more important” than himself on the phone.

Kwanten showed up at Hollywood hot spot Craig’s with a handler at his side. When the two men approached security, they were told they weren’t on the party’s registered guest list.

TMZ caught the entire exchange as it occurred. Apparently, Kwanten’s handler made a phone call and handed the phone to the head of security. After speaking on the phone, the man handed the phone back and still denied access to the party.

Kwanten and his handler said they were personally invited to the party by Craig. Still, the bouncer did not budge.

Eventually, the two men decided not to cause a scene but asked what security company the security professional worked for.

Ryan Kwanten has not spoken out about the incident, perhaps out of the sheer embarrassment he probably felt for being turned away at an exclusive Hollywood Oscars party.

Kwanten plays Jason Stackhouse on True Blood.

Here is video footage of the embarrassing moment caught on tape:

Ryan Kwanten wasn’t turned away from all of the days events. He showed up earlier at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, which took place at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.

Are you surprised by the actor’s denial of entry at the Craig’s party?
