Rapper Kenny Clutch Killed During Las Vegas Shooting

Aspiring rapper Kenny Clutch is one of three people who died as a result of a drive-by shooting on Thursday.

Authorities explained that Clutch was driving his Maserati when someone inside a black Range Rover fired shots into the car. According to ABC News, the car then smashed into a taxi. Two people inside the cab were killed when the vehicle burst into flames.

The person riding with Kenny Clutch in his sports car was also struck by the gunfire. However, the man only received minor injuries to his arm. No bystanders were killed during the shooting.

Although the rapper was rushed to the hospital for treatment, he later died as a result of his injuries. CNN reports that Clutch’s attorney Vicki Greco was “shocked” by the news.

She said:

“Out of everyone I know in the rapping industry, there is no way I would have ever, ever expected to find that he was shot on the Las Vegas strip in such an aggressive manner. He didn’t have a (criminal) record or a history. He was just a good kid trying to make it and be a good father.”

Kenny Cluch, whose real name was Kenneth Cherry Jr., was from Oakland, California. However, he had been living in Las Vegas. Police said the shooting may have been the result of an argument which took place at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Also killed during the shooting in Las Vegas were cab driver named Michael Boldon and his passenger. The two individuals died when Clutch’s car careened into traffic. In addition to Cluch’s passenger, two other people were reported injured during the incident.

Authorities are now on the lookout for a black Range Rover SUV. They consider the individuals to be armed and dangerous. It’s currently unknown how many people were involved in the shooting death of rapper Kenny Clutch.
