American Airlines 737 Crashes In Jamaica

An American Airlines 737-800 skidded off a runway in Kingston, Jamaica Tuesday night, splitting the aircraft in two.

Fight 331, which started in Washington D.C. with a stop over in Miami skidded off the runway in heavy rain at approximately 10:22 p.m. local time.

There were reported to be 153 people on the plane, including 7 crew members. Initial reports suggest that at least 40 people have been injured, although there was no reports of any deaths at the time of writing.

Emergency services were on scene and taking the injured to local hospitals.
