Man gets 10 years for hooking up with underage girl via Xbox Live

27-year-old Edward Stout of Richmond Heights, Missouri is learning this the hard way: he’s just been sentenced to a decade in the can for meeting up and engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl from Sanger, California.
According to the authorities, the relationship began over Microsoft’s online gaming service back in April 2008. Nine months later, in January 2009, Stout jumped in his car and made the 2,000-mile journey without stopping.
Stout pleaded guilty to the charges of having an “illicit relationship” with the teenager, and will now have ten years to mull over his despicable actions in prison, presumably while sharing a cell with his new boyfriend, Spanner. Once released, he’ll be kept under close supervision and must register as a sex offender.
