David Diehl DUI: Giants Tackle Ordered To Wear SCRAM Bracelet

David Diehl will be wearing a SCRAM bracelet for the next 90 days as a result of his DUI last summer.

According to the NY Daily News, Diehl plead guilty to drunk driving on Monday and was ordered to wear a SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor) bracelet.

Diehl will have to wear the bracelet, which monitors alcohol intake 24 hours a day 7 days a week, for the next 90 days. Diehl was also placed in a 6 month conditional discharge program. Basically, Diehl will be able to avoid further consequences if he can avoid trouble for the next six months.

According to TMZ, the two-time Super Bowl champ was also ordered to pay $1,200 in restitution and $300 in fines.

AM New York reports that Diehl managed to avoid jail time by agreeing to participate in the NFL substance abuse treatment program.

David Diehl was arrested last summer after he crashed his BMW into two parked cars. Diehl was drinking alcohol at a soccer game before he decided to get behind the wheel. At the time of his arrest, Diehl’s blood alcohol level was .182, more than twice the legal limit.

Diehl hasn’t commented on the charges directly yet but he has posted a few messages on Twitter.
