Robin Roberts Returning To ‘GMA’ February 20

Robin Roberts will be back in her seat on Good Morning America on February 20.

Roberts, who left the show five months ago to have a bone marrow transplant, said that she “cannot wait to return” to GMA.

Roberts said:

“What a difference a year makes … I cannot wait to return to my GMA family. It’s going to be an incredible morning in Times Square. The overwhelming thoughts and prayers of the viewers have played a major part in getting me here today. I cannot thank everyone enough.”

It was announced last month that Roberts would likely return “sometime in February” but it wasn’t until today that Robin Roberts’ return got an official date.

WRIC reports that Roberts has been doing a few “dry runs” at the studio in Times Square to get re-acclimated with the set. Roberts is now ready to go and will officially make her return on February 20.

Roberts will also be the subject of a 20/20 special on February 22. The hour show will take a look at Roberts’ recovery and how she dealt with being diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS.
