Khloe Kardashian & Tristan Thompson Gearing Up For Custody Battle Over Baby True, Per ‘Daily Mail’
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s relationship is rumored to be hanging on by a thread, and may actually be over already. However, one thing is reportedly just getting started, and that is their custody battle over daughter, True Thompson.
According to an October 23 report by Daily Mail, Khloe Kardashian is gearing up to file for full custody of the six-month-old daughter that she shares with Tristan Thompson. Meanwhile, the NBA star allegedly won’t roll over and give up any visitation rights to his baby girl.
Sources reportedly told In Touch Weekly Magazine that Khloe plans to file for primary custody of the little girl, while Tristan will counter back with joint custody of baby True.
“Tristan adores his daughter and wants to be near her and has told Khloe he’ll fight for custody if he has to. Khloe wants True to be permanently based in LA. It’s not up for negotiation,” a source told the magazine.
Legal Beagle defines primary custody as “one parent retaining custody of the a minor child for the majority of the child’s time,” meaning that Khloe allegedly wants to be the primary caregiver for the little girl, who is currently living with her in L.A. while Tristan is back in Cleveland with this team as the new NBA season is in its second week.
Law.com reveals that joint custody is when the parents share custody of the child, but that the time does not have to be divided equally between the two parents.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s relationship has been on the rocks for months. As many fans will remember, the NBA star was busted cheating on his pregnant girlfriend back in April when photos and video of him with multiple women surfaced online.
Khloe gave birth just hours after the cheating scandal erupted, but remained in Cleveland with Tristan. The two were said to have been working on their relationship and even moved back to L.A. to live together following the previous NBA season.
However, after Tristan left to return to Ohio for training camp something changed. Khloe, who was supposed to join her baby daddy in Cleveland this fall, changed her mind about moving and has remained in L.A. with baby True ever since.
Meanwhile, sources tell People Magazine that Khloe seems “over” her relationship with Tristan, and is very “happy” living in L.A. with True among her friends and family members.
