Oprah Injured By Tyler Perry’s Birthday Present

Oprah Winfrey was injured by her birthday presents.

The head of the Oprah Winfrey Network turned 59 on Tuesday and received several presents from her celebrity friends. Tyler Perry, the sweet person that he is, decided to sent Oprah a bunch of flowers to her home in Montecito, California.

Well, it turns out that it was a bad idea.

Oprah injured herself trying to move the bushel of roses to a new spot in her house.

Oprah told her Twitter followers that she spent her birthday “in bed with an ice pack … Moved a bushel of roses sent by @tylerperry and sprained a back muscle.”

Perry responded on Facebook, telling Oprah that he felt terrible for sending such a heavy bunch of roses.

Perry said:

“I feel so bad … I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry … Next year I’m sending her one rose.”

Luckily for Perry, Oprah doesn’t hold a grudge.

Oprah wrote: “No need to feel bad. Love the roses and got an extra day in bed. Can you say #icepack?”
