Kid President, 9, Campaigns On YouTube: ‘I’m Not In A Party, I AM A PARTY’ [Video]

Henderson, TN – Meet the “Kid President,” a 9-year-old in a sharp suit who has become a viral sensation.

His name is Robby Novak, and he has been addressing the nation in a series of YouTube videos over the past several months, speaking on several pertinent issues like: Making grown-ups less boring, to make the world more awesome, and to make people dance.

His YouTube debut, “Meet Kid President!” went viral in October, and his official website, SoulPancake, was co-created by The Office star Rainn Wilson. In the “inaugural” video, the Kid President announces “I’m not in a party … I am a party.”

Novak’s grown-up brother-in-law, Bradley Montague, attributed the line to a conversation about the political system in the US. Fans of the Kid President kept sending him emails asking him about his political affiliation.

“I was trying to explain to him, ‘OK, Republicans, then there’s Democrats and Independents,'” Montague said on Today. “And he got really distracted and bored, and was like, ‘I’m not in a party, I AM a party!'”

Another video of the Kid President released on January 24 titled “A Pep Talk from Kid President to You” increased Novak’s popularity.

“I think we all need a pep talk,” Novak says at the beginning of the clip. “The world needs you to stop being boring. Yeah, you. Boring is easy. Everybody can be boring. But you’re gooder than that.”

That video has gone on to earn over 4 million views.

Novak and Montague collaborate on the videos, with the latter giving the narratives a practical, available base and the Kid President injecting humor and personality.

“We’ve always just goofed around, and we put it online,” he said.
