George Zimmerman Asking For More Time And Money [Again]

Orlando, FL – George Zimmerman is trying to delay his trial again for what feels like the 100th time.

Lawyers representing Zimmerman, who is charged with murdering Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in cold blood, are again asking to delay his trial, reports MSN.

His attorneys filed a motion on Wednesday to delay the case once more, attempting to move the trial date from June to November. Zimmerman has entered a plea of “not guilty.” Attorney Mark O’Mara is also asking for more public donations to Zimmerman’s defense. The defense fund has raised more than $314,000 since he was charged, which is an awful lot of money for this trial to be going nowhere.

Zimmerman was most recently in the news for a security lawsuit which revealed a strange, almost fictional-sounding hideout plan.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the plan hatched by Associated Investigative Services Inc., bodyguards hired for Zimmerman, included a strange exit to a “tourist resort” complete with GPS tracking and a makeover.

“This was the plan to move George Zimmerman out of the Seminole County Jail and make him disappear: He would be outfitted in concealed body armor and driven away by an armed guard in a rental vehicle that had been checked to make sure no one had secretly placed a GPS tracking device on it … He would be whisked awayto a tourist resort, according to a recently-released “jail escort plan,” where he would then go into the handicapped stall of the men’s bathroom and change into a new shirt, hat and glasses.”

It seemed to be a plan to escape trial, but it never came to fruition. Zimmerman continues to be a controversial public figure, and his case continues to take dramatic, and often odd-ball twists and turns.

Do you think that the Zimmerman defense should be granted more time?
