I’m not a true gamer per se but I do have my favorites that I like to play and of them all Sid Meier’s Civilization series has to be my utmost favorite. I think I have owned every release of the game back to when the original SimCity and Civilization were the best sim games on the market.
Where SimCity has long gone off the rails in my opinion Civilization has remained true to its roots and gotten only better. So when I heard that we would be seeing a new release of the game this year my pulse raced just a little bit. Then a good friend passed me a link in IRC to some newly released screenshots of what to expect with Civilization V and the drool factor started while I started setting up my slush fund to make sure I get my copy the day it comes out.
