Do you think you have what it takes to be a Ghostbuster? You can try your luck at snatching spirits for fun and profit in a new game recently released for iOS.
Beeline Interactive’s Ghostbusters game is currently available for free from Apple’s App Store. According to Touch Arcade , the title charges players with busting an array of ghosts while attempting to build up their business in the process.
Using such iconic equipment as proton packs and spirit traps, gamers will earn rewards for riding buildings of all sorts of supernatural adversaries. As the game processes, players will be able to upgrade their weaponry, expand their HQ, and hire new recruits.
The game’s official description reads as follows:
“Build your own team of Ghostbusters from the ground up as you bust troublemaking spooks throughout the city. Form your own franchise in a local firehouse and answer ghostbusting calls, research and upgrade your equipment and conduct experiments to unlock better gear and tactics. Lead your elite squad of Ghostbusters through floor after floor of a haunted tower, where a malevolent evil deity has taken over, threatening to release negative psycho-kinetic energy into the streets of New York. Conquer each floor by battling the floor boss and capturing any resident ghosts. Spooks ‘n’ spirits best beware…it’s time to bust some ghostly behind!”
Although the game is free to play, gamers can purchase upgrades and the like from the Ghostbusters in-game store. As with most games that sport microtransactions, you don’t need to drop any money to enjoy the core game.
Cinema Blend explains that the Bee Interactive and Sony Picture Consumer products collaboration is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and the iPod Touch.
