While promoting his new film, Broken City, star Russell Crowe is finding it hard to avoid questions about this summer’s Man Of Steel.
The new year looks promising for Crowe. There are rumors he has a new female in his life, and he has two new movies coming out. Later this month, he can been seen alongside Mark Whalberg in Broken City while Man Of Steel looks like a summer tentpole.
Crowe recently sat down with Reelz to promote Broken City but found himself answering questions about Man Of Steel instead.
In the new Superman, Russell Crowe plays Jor El, Superman’s original father who sends his child to Earth just before their home planet is destroyed.
He tells Reelz:
“I’m looking forward to seeing it. It’s a massive undertaking. The types of sets and things that we worked on in that film were incredible. It takes you actually on the ground to Krypton, it takes you to a planet where the sun is four times larger than ours and you get to experience that stuff, so I think people are going to love it.”
Crowe then talks about how Man Of Steel differentiates itself from past Superman films:
“And if you’ve seen the little trailers and stuff they’ve done you realize that this Superman is not just floating through the air held up by a wire, this Superman is supersonic. When he decides to fly he doesn’t muck around.”
Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill as Superman and featuring Russell Crowe as Jor El, comes to theaters June 14. Here is the trailer for the hopeful franchise starter:
