Zooey Deschanel Paints Movie Reel On Her Nails For Golden Globes

Zooey Deschanel made quite a red carpet impression at the Golden Globes but not just for the bright red Oscar de la Renta gown she wore.

Deschanel continued her tradition of wearing specialized nail art to award shows, opting for a tiny movie reel art spilled across her nails.

The unique fashion statement caught the attention of MTV Style, which applauded Zooey Deschanel’s effort:

“It’s no secret that we’re die-hard nail art aficionados here at MTV Style, and given that Zooey Deschanel is one most active celebrities in the nail game, we were amped to see what she’d have in store for her 2013 Golden Globe Awards red carpet look. Zooey traipsed down the step-and-repeat in a glamorous Oscar de la Renta gown in bright red and fit for a princess. She styled the dress with a flirty evening ponytail and a strand of big ivory pearls, but it was the action happening above her cuticles that we were most excited to uncover. We maaaay or may not have had an office pool betting on what theme the New Girl actress would run with this evening.”

The nail art Zooey Deschanel showed off at the Golden Globes may have won her some good fashion reviews, but that didn’t keep the New Girl star comfortable during the red carpet media blitz. The actress was trembling during her interviews, shivering from the cold weather as her PR agent ran to get her a cashmere sweater, the Los Angeles Times noted.

“I’m freezing,” Zooey Deschanel said as she shuddered.
