Destiny’s Child To Release A New Song

Destiny’s Child have reformed and are set to release a new song, entitled “Nuclear,” which has been produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by him and Michelle Williams.

Beyonce Knowles announced the decision via her website, stating, “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” The track will appear on the Love Songs compilation, which is released on January 29, and will feature each of the group’s remaining members, Williams, Knowles and Kelly Rowland.

Destiny’s Child last album was 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled, and since it’s release, Knowles career has blossomed and overshadowed the efforts of Rowland and Williams. Knowles will be playing at Barack Obama’s inauguration ball later this month, a feat she performed when he was sworn in as President four years ago too, whilst she will also be singing during the Super Bowl half time show in just a few weeks time.

A new image of the trio has also been released to commemorate the occasion, and sees Rowland, Williams, and Knowles smoulder in a black and white photo.

Speaking about her time in the group to GQ recently Knowles noted, ” When I was writing the Destiny’s Child songs, it was a big thing to be that young and taking control. And the label at the time didn’t know that we were going to be that successful, so they gave us all control. And I got used to it . It is my goal in life to be that example.”
