Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Celebrate Their Engagement In Star-Studded Party At The NYC
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas just made their engagement a bit more official than it already is as the soon-to-be-married couple organized a star-studded party to celebrate the milestone surrounded by their closest friends and family in an “intimate dinner” at the Big Apple.
The newly engaged couple surprised the world with their engagement on Instagram with the classic “ring on the finger” photo statement from on October 15. As if the image wasn’t enough to send her followers in a slurry of speculations, the 21-year- old Game of Thrones star confirmed the engagement with the caption, “I said yes.” Joe posted the same picture with the caption, “She said yes.”
On Saturday, Sophie was spotted clinging to her fiance in New York, looking like they’re ready to slay the night with their loved ones. According to E! News, the Game of Thrones actress and Jonas Brother organized the “intimate dinner” to celebrate their engagement at Mamo, an Italian restaurant in NYC.
Based on the outlet’s insider source, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were joined by Jonas brothers Nick Jonas, Franki Jonas, and Kevin Jonas with his wife Danielle. DNCE members Cole Whittle and JinJoo Lee were also among the 30 people who graced the event. Glamour said even model and body positivity advocate Ashley Graham, Fault In Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort, and Spider-Man lead Tom Holland were also among those who attended the soiree.
Details about what exactly happened at Mamo are a bit scarce, though Glamour was able to confirm that there was an impromptu concert from the groom-to-be who sang “Cake by the Ocean” and a swashbuckling toast for the newly engaged couple with sparklers that later became fake swords.
After dinner, the group led by Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas reportedly brought the celebration up a notch by going for a wild night of partying, which appeared to have been followed up later by a quick snap at a photo booth. Some of the guests, including JinJoo and Nick, even shared pictures from the encounter on the photo- and video-sharing platform.
