Demetria Obilor Pictures: Full-Figured Dallas Television News Reporter Comes Under Fire For Her Tight Clothing

Demetria Obilor is no stranger to viral fame, and the full-figured Dallas television news reporter is now getting nationwide support after coming under attack for her tight clothing.

Obilor is just a few weeks into her job as an on-air traffic reporter for Channel 8 ABC in Dallas and is known for her form-fitting clothing that shows off her ample figure. But that wardrobe also generated quite a bit of controversy after someone took aim at the reporter on social media.

In a post that would later be deleted, a woman named Jan Shedd criticized Obilor’s clothing, saying that the anchor looked “ridiculous.”

“Has anyone seen Channel 8’s new morning traffic reporter? Her name is Demetria Obilor & she’s a size 16/18 woman in a size six dress and she looks ridiculous,” Shedd wrote (via the New York Daily News).

“I understand that when I watch Channel 8 I’m going to get biased reporting and political correctness, but clearly they have taken complete leave of their senses. I’m not going to watch Channel 8 anymore.”

The post sparked quite a controversy, with many attacking Shedd and defending Demetria Obilor for her choice of clothing. Shedd would delete the post, saying that she came under attack by the “racist mafia” after criticizing the black anchor.

Shedd said she had no racial bias in her criticism of Obilor.

“Frankly, I didn’t even notice that she was black. I was shocked that Channel 8 would put someone on the air that dressed so provocatively,” Shedd wrote, according to Ebony.

While the post generated quite a bit of controversy, it also raised interest in Demetria Obilor, with her pictures going viral across social media. The anchor now has more than 80,000 followers on Instagram, where she shares pictures of her form-fitting outfits while on the television news set.

Obilor also gives followers a glimpse into her life away from the cameras, sharing pictures of her workout routine and vacations.

This is not the first time that Demetria Obilor has gotten national attention. Back in January, when she was working as a traffic reporter for a Las Vegas news station, Obilor found viral fame when her pictures spread across the internet.

At the time, Obilor was dubbed #trafficbae on social media, with her pictures garnering thousands of shares and her name trending across social media. Her television station seemed to play into this viral popularity, involving Obilor on a number of comedy segments and using her beyond her work in reporting the city’s morning traffic.

Despite the controversy, Demetria Obilor said she enjoyed her first week working at Channel 8 ABC in Dallas and is looking forward to continuing to work at her new gig.
