Tamar Braxton’s Mom Thinks Vince Herbert Could Kill Her Daughter After Divorce Filing [Video]
Tamar Braxton’s mom, Evelyn Braxton, is admitting that she’s worried her daughter’s estranged husband Vince Herbert could seriously injure or even kill Tamar after she made the decision to file for divorce from her husband of almost nine years last month.
Evelyn, who features alongside her family on their WEtv reality show Braxton Family Values, made the shocking confession to awaiting paparazzi this week where she touched on the multiple domestic violence allegations that have been swirling around her daughter and son-in-law for the past several months.
When asked by TMZ what she’d like to say to Vince following Tamar’s decision to file for divorce while making her way through LAX airport on November 3, Braxton seemingly accused Herbert of abusing her daughter.
“Keep his hands off of my child. Stop before he hurts her or kills her,” she replied when asked by the photographers what she’d like to say to Vince now.
“I love Vince but I don’t want him to kill my child. As simple as that,” she then added.
Evelyn then encouraged Herbert – who is the father of Tamar’s four-year-old son, Logan – to get some counseling, seemingly for his alleged anger issues.
“I think that if a person really means what they’re doing then they’ll go and get help,” Evelyn said of her estranged son-in-law. “I think he needs to go and get counseling before someone gets killed.”
Evelyn’s shocking confession marks the first time one of the Braxton family have seemingly confirmed allegations of domestic abuse within Herbert and Braxton’s marriage after the physical dispute reports first hit the headlines last year.
Though both Tamar and Vince denied the reports, TMZ claimed in August 2016 that the couple got into a physical dispute while in Atlanta, Georgia, that saw the cops called to the Ritz Carlton hotel where they were staying.
The outlet claimed that things were so bad that Herbert supposedly bit Braxton on the hand so badly that he drew blood and then fled the scene before cops arrived, though Tamar has since denied the report.
Shortly after, Daily Mail reported that another domestic dispute allegedly happened between the couple at their home in California.
The site claimed that the cops were called once again to end an argument between the now-former couple and even alleged that Tamar had been living in a “private hell” ever since she was shockingly fired from the talk show The Real in May 2016.
“Again, since there were no physical signs of battery, Vince was not arrested,” a source told the site at the time, but claimed that “these fights are happening more and more” between the two.
“Her family fears… that if things don’t change with Tamar and Vince, she could end up like Rihanna after the Chris Brown altercation or worse,” continued the site’s source of how the Braxton family have supposedly been worried for Tamar for a while now.
Braxton has stayed quiet on social media since filing for divorce in October, but confirmed through a representative that she and her husband had split just one month before what would have been their ninth wedding anniversary.
“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert,” Tamar’s rep told People in a statement issued on October 25.
“Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important,” they then added. “We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”
Though Braxton and Herbert have now split, Season 5 of their reality show Tamar & Vince is set to debut on WEtv on November 9.
