WWE Rumors: The Undertaker & Batista Listed As Top Possible 2018 Hall Of Fame Headliners

When it comes to WWE rumors, the upcoming 2018 Hall of Fame class has plenty of speculation with the big ceremony still months away. Several major superstars are considered possible headlines for the latest edition of WWE’s annual event but it’s likely that just one will get the nod. They’d become the next biggest star to become inducted into the Hall of Fame since WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, who has still made a return to the wrestling ring. Here’s the latest update on which WWE stars are being pegged as the favorites to headline the 2018 Hall of Fame ceremony when WrestleMania 34 arrives next April in New Orleans.

In a recent updated provided at WWE Leaks website, the superstars who are odds-on favorites to headline the Hall of Fame class for 2018 are discussed. In terms of the top five, it’s a list of seven superstars, some of whom are tied at various spots on the list. At the fifth spot is The Big Show (10 to 1), who announced his retirement will be happening as of February 18. Just above him is one of WWE’s longtime icons “The Rock” who has still been involved in matches from time to time. Dwayne Johnson currently has odds of 13 to 2 to be the headline inductee for the ceremony.

Bill Goldberg (4 to 1) could headline the HOF event. He made his return to the ring over the past year for several matches including the Royal Rumble, and then two WWE Universal Championship matches. Goldberg is actually tied on the list with those odds with the current WWE SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan. It would be interesting if WWE went in that direction, although there have been various rumors of Bryan possibly leaving WWE once his contract is up.

Right above Bryan with sole possession of second place on the favorites is Chris Jericho. He left WWE after getting beat up by former friend Kevin Owens on SmackDown Live. Jericho will be touring with his rock group and is expected to miss January’s Royal Rumble, but it doesn’t seem likely he’s done in the WWE ring just yet. Jericho has 5 to 2 odds to be the headliner for WWE’s Hall of Fame Class next year.

However, there are two major superstars tied for the top of the list. Surprisingly they are Batista and The Undertaker. Each of these superstars currently has 5 to 4 odds to headline the 2018 Hall of Fame ceremony in New Orleans. Batista has been out of WWE for some time and seems to have transitioned into more of a movie career. He’s found success in the Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise and was also a part of the recent Blade Runner 2049. The Undertaker wrestled what may have been his final match this past April when he lost for the second time in his career at a WrestleMania pay-per-view.

There have been rumors of Undertaker making his return at just about every pay-per-view since WrestleMania 33 in April. So far, none of these reports have materialized as anything more than fan hype or speculation. If WWE were going to induct Undertaker, he’d most certainly be the one who receives the main spotlight. With that said, WWE could also try to grab some publicity from Dave Bautista and his visibility in the Marvel movies. It certainly will be interesting to see which star ends up as the headliner.

WWE fans, who do you think will headline the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class in April?
