Will Joy-Anna Duggar Have A Home Birth Like Her Sisters?

Joy-Anna Duggar is expecting her first child in February or March of 2018. The reality TV star, who is the ninth child of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, announced that she and her husband, Austin Forsyth, were expecting their first baby just three months after they wed.

Rumors have been swirling that the pair actually had sex before their wedding night, which is how Joy-Anna Duggar got pregnant so quickly and was so large during her announcement.

However, having sex before marriage is pretty much prohibited by the Duggar family, so most mega-fans of the clan reject the notion that Joy-Anna would even entertain the thought of having sex before she and Austin tied the knot.

But Joy-Anna Duggar will be having her baby at some point, and fans have been wondering whether she would have a home birth, like her siblings.

Joy-Anna’s sister-in-law, Anna Duggar, famously gave birth at home, with her very first home birth taped for 19 Kids and Counting. Some objected to the very raw footage, but her sisters-in-law, Jana and Jill, were on hand to lend their knowledge as doulas.

Jill Duggar Dillard is reportedly a certified midwife, though her certification has come into question by those who say her course was a scam.

Two of Joy-Anna’s sisters have given birth thus far, Jessa and Jill, who are each moms twice over to two boys.

Jessa Duggar Seewald gave birth to both of her children at home, laboring for very long periods of time in both situations, which some found objectionable. After giving birth to her eldest son, Spurgeon, she had to be rushed to the hospital to stop vaginal bleeding that was occurring.

Jill Duggar Dillard attempted to give birth at home both times but had to be taken to the hospital in order to safely deliver both of her boys. The mother of two labored with her second son, Samuel, for almost three days before they eventually performed a C-section.

Seeing as the Duggar family emphasizes home births so much, it is likely Joy-Anna Duggar will at least attempt to deliver her baby in her own home and likely with the help of her sisters.
