Brianna Brochu, 18, has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her roommate, Chennel “Jazzy” Rowe, in the first few weeks after the duo was assigned to live together as college roommates. As seen in the below video from the “Jazzy Rowe” Facebook page, Rowe described how she discovered Brochu was performing heinous actions soon after the duo became roommates. Breezy_Bumble_B bragged on Instagram about the horrible things she wrote she was doing to her “Jamaican Barbie” roommate.
According to Heavy, Brianna bragged about spitting in Jazzy’s coconut oil, putting menstrual blood on Rowe’s purse, and taking Jazzy’s toothbrush and putting it places “where the sun doesn’t shine,” alluding to placing the toothbrush in bodily orifices. Brochu hails from Harwinton, Connecticut, and used her Breezy_Bumble_B Instagram account to brag about placing clam dip that was molded into lotions that Jazzy placed on her face.
Jazzy described in the below Facebook video that she began getting sick with sore throats not long after being assigned Brochu as a roommate at the University of Hartford. Brianna was arrested by the West Hartford Police Department on October 28. Brochu faces misdemeanor charges, including a breach of peace and criminal mischief. On Twitter, #JusticeForJazzy features tweets from folks writing about the case.
Warning: The following video from the Jazzy Rowe Facebook page contains language that might be offensive.
Jazzy’s Facebook video has gone viral, with more than 300,000 views since October 30. Brochu has become the center of controversy and has drawn a statement from the university’s president, Greg Woodward, which was published on Tuesday evening. The statement claimed that the situation was deeply upsetting to Woodward. Brianna’s case has drawn the ire of social media users who are hoping that Brochu gets more punishment for her alleged crimes against Jazzy.
Rowe explains in the video how she was instructed to keep her experiences with Brochu quiet, but now that the case has gone viral, it is being called a hate crime that needs to be further addressed. Brochu should serve time in jail, according to some social media users who are publishing their thoughts about the case.
