Why Was Farrah Abraham Fired? MTV Reportedly Didn’t Want Her Image On ‘Teen Mom OG’

Farrah Abraham has been axed from Teen Mom OG after starring on the MTV series for seven seasons.

Following the reality star’s announcement on Instagram, fans have been left in shock about the news of her firing but according to a new report, Farrah Abraham doesn’t care much about her exit from the show at all.

“She is a careless person,” a source told Radar Online on October 31. “She’s selfish. She will act like she doesn’t care. She did it to herself. MTV deserved to fire her.”

According to the outlet, MTV simply doesn’t want to see Farrah Abraham’s image on Teen Mom OG. In addition, Radar Online continued, no one wants to hire Abraham and her career may be in jeopardy.

As fans of Abraham well now, the reality star embarked on a career in the adult industry after releasing a sex tape with James Deen in 2013 titled Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom. Since then, Abraham has released a line of adult toys and written an erotic book series. She’s also made several appearances in strip clubs and at other adult-themed events around the country.

Most recently, Farrah Abraham participated in an erotically-charged web cam show that seems to have put off MTV.

While MTV has not yet explained their decision to end Farrah Abraham’s run on Teen Mom OG, she accused them of “sex shaming” her in an Instagram post to her fans and followers on Monday after the Season 7 trailer was released.

Farrah Abraham’s run on Teen Mom OG may soon come to an end but for now, she continues to appear alongside her co-stars on the seventh season of the show and in her Instagram post, she called out MTV for exploiting herself and her daughter in their Season 7 trailer after informing her that she would no longer be a part of their show. She also seemingly threatened the network with a tell-all book about her experiences filming the long-running series.

To see more of Farrah Abraham and her co-stars, including Maci Bookout, Ryan Edwards, Taylor McKinney, Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Baltierra, Amber Portwood, and Gary Shirley, tune into the Teen Mom OG Season 7 premiere on November 27 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
