‘NCIS’ Season 15: Mark Harmon’s Contract Ending Soon, Will He Follow Pauley Perrette’s Exit?

Mark Harmon returns to NCIS Season 15 as Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs despite never-ending speculations of him leaving the popular CBS show. However, the Certain Prey actor’s fate on the American action police procedural television series is still unclear even though his character gets a new angle with Maria Bello’s arrival. Since his contract is ending soon, will he follow Pauley Perrette’s shocking exit?

Just like Mark Harmon, Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto) is an important character in NCIS. After reports confirmed that the 48-year-old actress is leaving the series at the end of the 15th season, many are convinced that the show will never be the same again.

As if that’s not enough drama, Mark Harmon has been repeatedly bombarded by exit rumors. Although the 66-year-old actor has never addressed anything about his alleged health crisis, his presence in NCIS Season 15 is more than enough reason to slam all whispers and speculations regarding his status on the CBS series.

However, now that another popular character is leaving NCIS, people just can’t seem to omit the idea that Mark Harmon might be next.

Although Mark Harmon’s return in NCIS Season 15 seemingly slammed all the talks about him leaving the show, an earlier report revealed that his contract only runs for the duration of the latest installment. After this, he is free to decide whether to continue or to pass.

If Mark Harmon is indeed dealing with something serious, there is a chance that he might not renew his contract if NCIS will be picked up for another season. But just like any other rumors regarding his health and alleged exit, this has yet to be verified.

Meanwhile, Mark Harmon may be known for his character on the CBS show, but he has been in the business for over three decades. Although he is mostly known for being a television and film actor, the star actually started his career as an athlete, which explains why he is fit and healthy all his life.

So when fans noticed that Mark Harmon was looking extra thin in NCIS Season 14, it led them to worry about his health. While it is quite normal for the actor’s appearance to change since he is obviously getting older, people are so used him being fit that seeing him looking thinner than usual started concerns.

Catch Mark Harmon in NCIS Season 15 every Tuesday on CBS at 8 pm.
