WWE News: Stephane McMahon Returns To ‘Raw’ & Gives Kurt Angle Huge Job Stipulation

On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Authority figure Stephanie McMahon was back in the building and had major news for the General Manager Kurt Angle. The latest episode of WWE’s Monday night program took place in Baltimore, Maryland at the Royal Farms Arena with plenty of build towards the WWE’s Survivor Series 2017 pay-per-view. One of the biggest situations for that upcoming event will involve the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown elimination matches set for the November pay-per-view. Stephanie addressed one of these matches in particular upon her return.

According to WrestleZone, Stephanie McMahon made her big return at the top of the WWE Raw show on Monday night as she walked down to the ring to interrupt Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. Despite being off television for weeks following a bump she took at WrestleMania 33, Stephanie is still officially the Commissioner of the Raw brand. Once in the ring, she proceeded to give Kurt Angle a big lecture over allowing SmackDown to invade the show last Monday night. She told Angle, “it takes 20 years to build a reputation, but only 20 seconds to lose it.” From there, Stephanie made a major announcement regarding the General Manager, Team Raw, and the 2017 Survivor Series.

Stephanie officially appointed Kurt Angle as the captain of Team Raw for the upcoming pay-per-view. After that announcement was made, she told Angle she expects results, meaning a victory for the Monday night brand at the PPV. She told the current General Manager that if that doesn’t happen, she’ll be looking for someone to take over his position. With that, Stephanie dropped the mic and left the ring for Kurt and the fans to process the major announcement.

While there hasn’t been an official report made with regards to else will be on Team Raw, there have been rumors about who will be on the team. A report here at Inquisitr earlier today mentioned that Angle will be joined by Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and Finn Balor on the Raw team. As of this report, SmackDown Live‘s team has just Randy Orton as its sole member. However, the rumors and spoilers suggest that Shane McMahon will be in charge while he’ll be joined by Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles.

The news that Kurt Angle’s job is on the line is certainly of interest as he could very well be transitioning towards some more matches. Angle stepped in as an honorary member of The Shield at the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2017 pay-per-view when Roman Reigns became ill. Angle received “You’ve still got it” chants when he was in the ring tonight during the Stephanie segment, showing that the fans still appreciate what he has to offer inside the ring. It should be interesting to see if the Survivor Series match will come down to him versus Shane McMahon with Angle’s job on the line.
