WWE Confirms The Undertaker Will Return On The 25th Anniversary Of ‘Monday Night Raw’

The Undertaker has not appeared on WWE television since losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, where he seemingly retired. There has been a lot of speculation about his future over the past couple of months, but the WWE has confirmed his return. The Undertaker is set to appear on the 25th-anniversary show of Monday Night Raw next year.

According to the official website of the WWE, The Undertaker is one of the legends scheduled to make an appearance on the 25th-anniversary show on January 22, 2018. “The Deadman” will be joined by Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash in the event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. There is also a special meet-and-greet event for fans at the Manhattan Center in New York City.

“Superstars from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live will be at Barclays Center, while the event at Manhattan Center, the site of the first episode of Raw, will feature both WWE Superstars competing, plus special appearances by WWE Legends The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash, among others.”

It is interesting to see what The Undertaker is going to do on that show because WrestleMania season is right around the corner. Many fans are still hoping to see him wrestle one more match, while others are content with The Undertaker being retired.

There have been a lot of rumors in the past several months about the potential return of The Undertaker. PW Insider (h/t Wrestle Zone) previously reported that The Undertaker was working in the ring offcamera before SummerSlam in August. The WWE even hinted about the possibility of The Undertaker vs. John Cena match happening at WrestleMania 34 when Cena name-dropped The Undertaker in a promo against Roman Reigns.

More speculations came out this month when Kane made his return. There were rumors that The Undertaker will team up with Kane to face The Shield at Survivor Series, but it seems that Kane is headed for a feud with Braun Strowman.

Meanwhile, The Undertaker was also in the headlines last week when he made a rare public appearance in Atlanta, according to Cageside Seats. The 52-year-old legend showed his support for “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair during the early screening of his ESPN 30 For 30 documentary. The Undertaker is going to appear in the documentary for a very rare out-of-character interview.

The report added that The Undertaker and Flair shared a great moment when they talked about Ric’s health scare two months ago. Nevertheless, the fans are looking forward to the 25th-anniversary show of Monday Night Raw. They surely can’t wait to see what The Undertaker will do at the event.
