Dave McCary Pictures: Emma Stone’s Rumored New Boyfriend Is ‘Saturday Night Live’ Writer And Director

Dave McCary may be doing his work behind the camera at Saturday Night Live, but the 32-year-old is gaining some major spotlight as the rumored new boyfriend of actress Emma Stone.

Reports this week indicated that Stone and McCary are in the early phases of a still-quiet relationship and have already been spotted out on some dates. As Hollywood Life noted, this would be the first high-profile relationship for Emma Stone since she split up with actor Andrew Garfield nearly two years ago.

Emma Stone has made a number of trips to the SNL studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, including a recent visit while La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling was hosting. McCary is known for directing SNL segments, filling some of the void left by the departure of Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island crew several years ago.

Dave McCary is seen as one of the rising stars of the comedy world. Aside from his work on Saturday Night Live, he has branched into movies along with fellow SNL star Kyle Mooney. The two worked together on the movie Brigsby Bear, with Mooney playing a character obsessed with a children’s program. McCary told the Chicago Tribune that the two were able to forge a special bond through their work in the very hectic atmosphere of Saturday Night Live.

“Working on SNL, you can have a really stressful experience or a really bad week, and I could see how much of a nightmare that could be for someone who doesn’t have a network of buddies going through that with them,” McCary said.

It was the premiere of Brigsby Bear where Emma Stone and Dave McCary were first linked as a couple, as the two appeared together at the film’s premiere.

If the rumors are true, then Dave McCary is not the only SNL player entering into a relationship with a Hollywood A-lister. There were reports that actor Ben Affleck is getting serious in his relationship with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, and Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost is reportedly starting a relationship with actress Scarlett Johansson.

The reports that Dave McCary is the new boyfriend of Emma Stone has brought a lot of attention to the Saturday Night Live director, with his pictures spreading across social media and his name becoming a trending term. So far, neither McCary nor Stone have spoken publicly about their rumored relationship.
