Rob Zombie Is Bringing ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ Back To Life In A Brand New Movie

In the world of Hollywood, fans have had to learn to say that nothing is impossible because anything can happen and usually does. Movies have been remade and reimagined while others have had countless sequels, but there is always more that can be done. Take a movie like The Devil’s Rejects, which essentially brought an end to the franchise without any sort of doubt, but it appears as if Rob Zombie is ready to breathe new life into it.

Zombie is no stranger to remakes as he did “reimagine” John Carpenter’s Halloween in a version that was quite different when released in 2007. So, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when the musician and filmmaker wants to relive some of his greatest successes, but is it possible?

This is a heads-up that there are spoilers ahead for The Devil’s Rejects (2005). So, if you haven’t seen the movie and don’t want to know what happens, stop reading now.

The Devil’s Rejects was a sequel of sorts to Rob Zombie’s directorial debut, and it came to an end with a violent shootout. In that shootout, the three main characters Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), and Otis (Bill Moseley) were all killed.

That doesn’t seem to want to stop Rob Zombie from bringing them back to life.

Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that Rob Zombie is indeed going to resurrect The Devil’s Rejects for another movie, but there are no real details as to how this will happen. Of course, there is always the idea that it could be a prequel to House of 1,000 Corpses or something like that, but who knows?

There have been no details on when the film will begin or even who will be in it, but it is likely going to have all the true Firefly members. It will be rather interesting to see where Zombie goes with this as Haig just turned 78 earlier this year.

JoBlo made a great point that Zombie has been teasing bringing back the Fireflys for years, but nothing ever came of it. He asked fans if they’d like to see a sequel to it in 2010, and last year, he asked fans if they’d want to see another movie with one of their favorite families.

Rob Zombie is finally bringing more of what the fans want, and that is even if all of the original cast members’ characters were killed in the previous films. For more than a decade, people have wanted to see a sequel to The Devil’s Rejects or at least another film in the franchise, but they thought it to be impossible. Well, never underestimate the mind of a madman as Zombie is bringing them back, and the Fireflys will ride again.
