President Donald Trump donned a pair of reading glasses as he left the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, on Sunday, October 22, and now Twitter has plenty of jokes about Trump’s glasses. As seen in the above and below photos, Trump left the golf club and sat in his limo wearing something not usually seen on his face when he peeked out from atop the reading glasses sitting low on Trump’s nose. As reported by the Inquisitr,President Trump had visited the Trump National Golf Club on Saturday, October 21, during the same hours that the funeral for Sgt. La David Johnson got underway.
On Twitter, folks are debating whether or not Trump’s glasses are prescription reading glasses or non-prescription glasses, and joking about how Trump’s glasses make him appear older. As seen in the reply section of tweets like those embedded below, people are also joking about how much Trump’s glasses make him appear similar to one Twitter user’s Republican dad. Many of the jokes center around Trump’s necessity for reading glasses, with lots of people quipping about whether or not Trump actually reads. The rarity of Trump appearing in glasses is also being discussed, with one person posting a GIF of the only other time they remember Trump wearing glasses, which is when Trump danced to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” song.

Others are wondering if Trump allowing himself to be photographed in reading glasses is a distraction, or an attempt to direct the press away from the fact that Sunday’s trip represented trip No. 75 to a golf property, according to NBC News. The publication noted that Sunday’s golf club visit was visit No. 95 to a Trump property since he became president 275 days ago. According to TrumpGolfCount.com, the cost of Trump’s golf outings to taxpayers are closing in on $75 million.

Meanwhile, the Twitter response to Trump’s glasses features folks trying to figure out if they are from the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection of Premium Reading Glasses or another brand. Lots of jokes about Trump’s glasses not making him look smarter have followed on social media.
