After weeks of speculation, Jessica Simpson officially confirmed her second pregnancy on Twitter.
Simpson tweeted a photo of her young daughter, Maxwell, sitting on a beach with the words “Big Sis” written in the sand.
Simpson captioned the photo, “Merry Christmas from my family to yours.”
Just last month, a friend of the 32-year-old blabbed to Us Magazine and said that Simpson’s second pregnancy “ definitely wasn’t planned ” but that she was “overjoyed” to be a mother again.
Once reports began circulating that Simpson was pregnant again, questions arose about whether she would continue to be sponsored by Weight Watchers. The weight loss company remained tight-lipped about the reality star’s status, saying, “Any questions related to Jessica’s personal life can only be answered by her team. We do not disclose financial details about our relationships with any of our ambassadors.”
Simpson tried — perhaps unsuccessfully — to hide her baby bump when she attended best friend Cacee Cobb’s wedding to Clueless and Scrubs actor Donald Faison less than two weeks ago. The proud soon-to-be mother of two tweeted, “I was the maid of honor last night for my BF Cacee Cobb. She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen in my life!”
Simpson reportedly wanted to get married before having a second child with fiancé Eric Johnson, so the couple may be planning a trip down the aisle before they welcome their new addition.
