Seattle Seahawks After Party Shooting: One Reported Dead


Bellevue, WA — One man is dead after shooting incident early Monday morning that occurred at Munch Bar during a party attended by Seattle Seahawks players. At least one other person was injured. About 600 people were in the club when shots were fired at about 1 am.

No Seahawks players were reported harmed. The shooter is still at large. A police spokesperson said that there were several altercations going on in the bar when the shots rang out and the situation was very chaotic. The investigation is ongoing.

According to The News Tribe, which apparently broke the story:

“Witnesses said that the Munch Bar was hosting the Seahawks after party when the shooting occurred, adding that one male victim was lying on the floor while the blood was everywhere.”

The Seahawks players were celebrating their 49-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers that clinched an NFL playoff berth for the team.

Fox Sports reports that according to a police spokesman, “a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.”

Seahawks defensive end Greg Scruggs later sent out a tweet that all the players in attendance at Munch Bar were safe.

Former Celebrity Apprentice cast member Aubrey O’Day was a witness to the shooting in the Munch Bar and sent out this tweet at the time:
