Adele’s ‘Someone like You’ Is The Most Sung Karaoke Song Of 2012


Adele’s single “Someone Like You” has been named the most popular karaoke song of 2012, by the website Lucky Voice.

The karaoke website released the 10 most popular songs online, which showed that the singers sultry hit accounts for 7.4 % of the 3.1 million tracks downloaded by want to be singers.

Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe” came in second place, whilst One Directions’s “That’s What Makes You Beautiful” finished third.

Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and “Make You Feel My Love” came in fourth and sixth position respectively too.

The top 10 most popular songs are, 1. “Someone Like You,” Adele (7.4 percent), 2. “Call Me Maybe,” Carly Rae Jepson (5.4 percent), 3. “What Makes You Beautiful,” One Direction (4.2 percent), 4. “Rolling In The Deep,” Adele (4.1 percent), 5. “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Queen (3.7 percent).

The rest of the top 10 concludes, 6. “Make You Feel My Love,” Adele (3.6 percent), 7. “Livin’ On A Prayer,” Bon Jovi (2.7 percent), 8. “Sexy And I Know It,” LMFAO (2.4 percent), 9. “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Journey (1.7 percent), 10. “Somebody That I Used To Know,” Goyte feat. Kimbra (1.6 percent).

This new confirms a pretty good day for Adele, who was also named the Associated Press’ Entertainer of the Year for 2012, beating off competition from Taylor Swift and Psy for the accolade.

It also comes just 24 hours after Adele’s producer, Paul Epworth, denied reports suggesting that the singer recorded the them song to James Bond’s Skyfall, which has gone on to be 007’s most successful ever film, in just ten minutes.
