Quentin Tarantino Reveals ‘Kill Bill Vol. 3’ Is Unlikely

Quentin Tarantino has quashed fans’ hopes that there will be a third instalment to his beloved Kill Bill film series.

Talking at the Toronto premiere for Django Unchained, the director stated, “I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill Vol. 3. We’ll see, probably not though.”

Tarantino had previously stated that he would like to focus a third movie on The Bride’s daughter, Vernita Green, who herself would would be seeking revenge on her mother. However, for the last few years there has been no more development on the project.

Kill Bill, follows Uma Thurman’s character, The Bride, as she does battle with the assassination team that she was formerly a part of, and her boss, Bill.

The Pulp Fiction director also revealed that he won’t direct a James Bond film in the future, saying, “Casino Royale was the one I wanted to direct, they [the producers] missed their opportunity.”

Django Unchained, Tarantino’s latest movie which is released on December 25, has seen the acclaimed filmmaker adorned with some of the best reviews of his career.

It follows Jamie Foxx’s slave, Django, who is freed by Christoph Waltz’s bounty hunter/dentist, Dr. King Schultz. The duo then trek across America looking for Django’s wife, played by Kerry Washington.

Peter Debruge of Variety declared Django, “an immensely satisfying taste of antebellum empowerment packaged as spaghetti-Western homage.” Whilst The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw stated, “Quentin Tarantino’s brutal revenge western is a thrilling return to form with inspired performances from Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson.”
