Free Slurpee Day At 7-Eleven Today: ‘Fox & Friends’ Talk Slurpee Turning Breech Baby Hearsay

Today is July 11, 2017, which means it is free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. This is the one day of the year when the date coincides with the name of the convenience store 7-Eleven, so to celebrate, the 7-Eleven stores around the nation are giving away free Slurpees today.

There’s no gimmicks, coupons, and you don’t have to buy a thing. The free Slurpee at you local 7-Eleven store is well… really free! While the free frozen drinks are available for a good portion of the day, eight hours in total, they are only available during certain hours.

You can get your free Slurpee today by just walking into your local 7-Eleven store between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and ask for your free small Slurpee cup. Then all you have to do is to walk over to the frozen drink machines and have at it. There is only one disclaimer. The free Slurpee is available to everyone, but only while supplies last, according to MLive.

This year is also a special year for the 7-Eleven convenience store that was founded in 1927. It has been in operation for 90 years. Another giveaway from 7-Eleven begins tomorrow. They call it the Slurpee week. If you buy seven Slurpees between the dates of 7-12 and 7-18, you will be awarded 11 free Slurpees. This offer does come with a small catch, you need their app to take part in this offer.

For the free 11 Slurpees, you need to download the 7-Eleven mobile app, buy the seven Slurpees during the designated time period and have the clerk scan your app’s barcode. Your next 11 frozen drinks are on the house.

So what about the wives’ tale that Fox & Friends have mentioned both last year and this year about the frozen drink being helpful in getting your breech baby to turn? On Tuesday’s Fox & Friends, Ainsley Earhardt said how she was told by one of her co-workers there at Fox to drink a Slurpee every day and her breech baby would turn. But did it work? No, but Ainsley shared how her husband would get a Slurpee for her every day and she enjoyed it.

Ainsley not only brought up the tale this morning on Fox & Friends, but she said the same thing last year on the show. You can see last year’s clip, which is archived online for Fox & Friends. The clip where Ainsley talks about Slurpee drinking to turn a breech baby starts at hour 4:02 am. While there is not a lot written online about this modern-day folklore, there is a mom’s forum that mentions it.

The Mothering Forum does mention drinking a Slurpee when trying to turn a breech baby. This is completely “unscientific” information the mom on the forum writes. The theory is that the cold drink will make the baby move, but there’s not a bit of evidence to even suggests this helps. The clip on the mom’s forum was posted back on August 23, 2009, so this isn’t a new bit of unscientific information. It has been around for close to a decade.
