Tamar Braxton Called 'The Real' Her 'Home,' Claimed She'd 'Never Leave' Just Weeks Before Firing [Video]

Tamar Braxton described The Real as her "home" and claimed she'd stay with the daytime talk show "forever" just weeks before she was fired.

In a recently resurfaced Periscope question and answer session conducted on January 7, just four months before Tamar was dramatically let go from the series, Braxton assured fans that she had no plans to say goodbye.

After a fan told Tamar that they loved her on The Real and asked her never to leave the show, Braxton made it crystal clear that she had no plans to leave the series of her own accord.

"Let me address these rumors real fast," Tamar said in the January Periscope session after reports, which came true just four months later, claimed that Braxton could be leaving the show.

"I'm not going anywhere! Okay?" Braxton said.

"The Real is my home, okay?" Tamar continued in the #AskTay chat. "I'm never leaving The Real, I'm never leaving my chair, and I don't know where that came from."

She added, "I just think that when you're being successful, people try to knock you down. [They] try to make you think negative things."

Tamar even scolded fans for suggesting that she could be about to leave the daytime series.

"Don't even speak those shenanigans into existence!" Tamar said before referring to herself in the third person. "She's not going anywhere, she's on The Real forever."

Braxton also revealed in the Periscope session that she received a phone call from one of the series' executive producers after the rumors began swirling, who brushed off the reports as nothing but "ridiculousness."

Unfortunately, Tamar was let go from the show just four months later, as reported by Deadline, despite Braxton admitting in the question and answer session that she planned to stick with the series "forever."

"The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season," the show's producers said in a statement issued to the site. "She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar's efforts and the contributions she has made to the show's success, and we wish her all the best for the future."

But while the Real producers claimed that Tamar's solo music plans were the reason behind her exit, rumors of drama behind the scenes have long swirled since it was announced that Braxton would not be returning to sit alongside her co-stars for a third season.

Braxton took to Instagram to confirm that she would not be returning to the show, telling fans that she had been "stabbed in the back" while appearing to confirm that her departure was not a mutual decision.

"I love [you] all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters)," Tamar told fans. "I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it's not in good taste to tell you who... but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own."

Tamar has yet to officially confirm who she was referring to in the social media post, though Bossip claimed at the time that Braxton was taking aim at one of the show's executive producers who allegedly orchestrated her firing.

The site reported that executive producer Rachel Miskowiec was behind the decision to let Braxton go, claiming that "she is the person who is behind Tamar getting fired" because of Tamar's alleged frosty relationship with the rest of the Real crew.

The Daily Mail also speculated that Braxton was difficult to work with behind the scenes, reporting that the producers' final straw allegedly came when Tamar "exploded" on set after losing a game during a recent episode.

"It was an ugly scene... Tamar was genuinely upset she was losing the game," an insider close to production told the site. "She really acted out during the taping in front of the studio audience and then exploded behind the scenes once the show was done."

The site's source also alleged that Tamar Braxton had "frequent" outbursts during her two seasons on The Real and suggested that she had become "unbearable to work with" in recent weeks.
