No Doubt Designs With Fred Perry For A Ska Inspired Clothing Line

No Doubt is strutting their style in a ska influenced collaboration with clothing designer Fred Perry.

Gwen Stefani, adored fashionista and the group’s lead singer, has joined her No Doubt band mates in designing several pieces that will reflect the musicians’ roots in the ska music scene. Each piece will be sport a touch of the band’s signature style.

Customers will find a tartan pattern reminiscent of the punk music scene making an appearance on one piece. You can also expect to find details in the signature color combination so often associated with reggae.

According to Women’s Wear Daily:

“A slim-fit shirt, retailing for $95, is available for both men and women, and features signature tipping detail on the sleeves and collar in a reggae-inspired dark gold, red and green. The limited-edition Fred Perry shirt will be released in early January.”

Following the release of the limited edition polo shirt, the brand will offer both a V-neck sweater and a bomber jacket. Each piece will be available in men’s and women’s sizes and retail up to $250.

This is not Stefani’s first stint in the fashion world, as reported by The Huffington Post. In 2004, the entertainer hit clothing racks with her Japanese inspired collection “L.A.M.B.” Just a year later came the creation of the line’s sister brand “Harajuku Lovers.”

This is not Fred Perry’s only pairing with musical ties. According to Fashionista, this will be the brand’s first music related collaboration since it worked with Amy Winehouse.

You can expect the initial No Doubt roll-out to begin in January going forward through spring. Items will be available online through the Fred Perry website with a global release to follow.
