Jennie Garth admits she has pain over seeing her ex-husband Peter Facinelli going public with his new romance.
Garth filed for divorce from the Twilight star earlier this year after 11 years of marriage, but says moving on isn’t so easy, the Daily Mail noted . Speaking at an event in New York City on Thursday, Garth admits she feels pain about her failed marriage.
“I think there will come a time when it won’t sting so bad … But I’m not quite there yet,” Jennie Garth told People .
But Garth said she doesn’t hold any bad blood for Peter Facinelli, adding: “You know, I am happy that he is happy, though.”
The 38-year-old Facinelli went public last month with a romance with 28-year-old Thor actress Jaimie Alexander. The couple showed up together for the New York City premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 . They met last year while filming Loosies, a movie about a small-time thief played by Facinelli who runs into a former one-night stand in Alexander.
“We’ve been friends forever and had a lot of mutual friends and we reconnected in the middle of the year,” Jaimie Alexander told Perez Hilton . “It was one of those things where I’d been single for a very long time and he was going through a lot. We sort of bonded.”
While Jennie Garth admits pain about her failed relationship in the past, the actress is moving forward a new lover of her own. She told People that she is happily dating, though didn’t give out the name of her beau. Earlier this year she was spotted on a date with Jason Clark , the healthcare solutions managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle.
