The latest information reveals that there is a casting call for a young man named Roman. What is known about this mysterious character? Will he be a love interest for Hope Mikaelson?

According to Entertainment Weekly , The Vampire Diaries spinoff is searching for a young man named Roman. It is teased that he is a recently turned vampire. The character is described as being “devilishly charming.” He ends up forming a bond with Hope over their dysfunctional families. Considering that Hope’s father is Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), it is safe to assume that Roman better be on his best behavior and treat Hope right.
Based on the casting information, it is clear that Hope is being aged up to a teenager. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , a casting notice for Hope had fans worried. People were not sure if Summer Fontana was being replaced or if the show was going to do a huge time jump. It seems that there will indeed be another leap and this time, it will be longer than five years.
Last season, there was a time jump of five years on The Originals . Hope went from being a toddler to a 7-year-old girl. It is not clear exactly how old the new Hope will be in Season 5, but fans are guessing between the ages of 16 and 18.
Recently, executive producer Julie Plec accidentally revealed a big spoiler. It turns out that Hope will be going to Mystic Falls to attend the Salvatore School For The Young And Gifted. As TVD fans know, Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King) run the establishment. However, it isn’t any ordinary school. It is specifically for supernatural children, like the Gemini twins or Hope Mikaelson.
