North West Turns 4, And Kim Kardashian Threw Her A Surprisingly Simple Birthday Party
Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West just turned 4 years old, and fans can’t believe how totally normal her birthday party went — at Chuck E. Cheese! On Thursday, Aunt Khloe Kardashian shared a photo on Snapchat taken from North’s birthday party at the fast-food chain.
North West can be seen wearing a crown headband looking at her simple sprinkles-covered birthday cake. In the background is a guy wearing a Chuck E. Cheese shirt. According to E!, the entire Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan attended the low-key birthday party.
North’s birthday bash actually started early in the morning, with Kim Kardashian surprising her at home with giant balloons. The 36-year-old reality star also posted a sweet message for her daughter on her website, along with a cute home video.
“Happy birthday to my mini me! I can’t believe you are 4 already. I love you so much, Northie!”
“Even when you’re big you’re gonna be so nice to me?” Kim was seen asking North in the video, to which the 4-year-old sweetly answered, “Yeah.”
Kardashian family members did not miss the chance to greet North on social media. Kris Jenner posted a photo collage on Instagram of her granddaughter’s fashion statements through the years.
“Happy Birthday to our beautiful, funny, smart little love bug, North,” Kris Jenner wrote on the caption.
“You bring so much light to our lives and I am blessed beyond words to have you as my granddaughter. It brings me so much joy to watch you grow up to be sweet and kind and loving.”
Meanwhile, Aunt Kourtney Kardashian’s Snapchat may have hinted that Kim and Kanye gave their daughter another totally normal gift: two cream-colored Pomeranian puppies!
Being Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter means North could have anything in the world, and she’s certainly displayed her famous parents’ riches in the past. The child has been photographed wearing designer clothes and luxury handbags before. Kim even brought her to the most exclusive fashion events. And so it’s refreshing to see that North West is just like any regular 4-year-old, after all.
Perhaps Kim Kardashian is making good on her resolution to live less ostentatiously after her Paris robbery last year. After the traumatic incident, fans noted that Kim has been taking fewer selfies and wearing less jewelry. On her recent guesting on Ellen last April, she tearfully told Ellen DeGeneres that the horrific experience made her realize major life lessons.
“It’s no secret, you’ve seen it on the show, I was definitely materialistic before. Not that there’s anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things…but I’m so happy that my kids are getting this me and this is who I’m raising my kids. I just don’t care about those stuff anymore.”
According to People, Kim may throw another “potentially lavish” celebration for North, which will be aired on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Despite a dip in the ratings, the reality show has been given another season on E!.
Kim Kardashian gave birth to North West on June 15, 2013, one year before her wedding to Kanye West. The couple welcomed their son Saint in December 2015. For North’s first birthday, Kim and Kanye spent major bucks on an extravagant Coachella-themed party, complete with a Ferris-wheel and lip-sync booth.
