Brand New ‘Frozen Ever After Dessert Party’ Replacing Illuminations Sparkling At Epcot: Post-Park Close Ride

To continue bringing new and exciting things to its guests, Walt Disney World will soon introduce a brand new dessert party to thrill all Frozen fans. Not only will this give guests great viewing of the Illuminations fireworks at Epcot, but it will allow them to have a post-park closing ride on one of the most popular attractions around. Make way for the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party and be prepared to reserve your spot as it will likely book up quickly.

When Frozen Ever After opened last year at Epcot, the attraction started out with lines that stretched outward of more than four hours. It has been rivaled this year by the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar, but there is no surprise that Frozen is still incredibly popular.

Fast forward to almost a full year after the opening of the popular attraction starring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven and wait times are still averaging 90-100 minutes. Well, Disney is going to give guests a chance to ride the attraction with little to no wait after enjoying some awesome desserts and a sweet view of Illuminations.

According to WDWNT, the brand new “Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” is set to begin later this summer and it is going to be centered around the attraction in Epcot’s Norway pavilion.

The new dessert party will be very similar to the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party, but with a few obvious changes.

Guests will first go to the designated viewing area for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth which is located next to the FastPass+ location at the front of World Showcase. There, they will be able to enjoy a wide selection of desserts and drinks with a great view of Illuminations that typically brings Epcot’s regularly scheduled hours to a close each day.

Only, it won’t be over just yet.

Guests will then be taken over to the Norway pavilion for a ride on Frozen Ever After once Epcot is officially closed for the day. They will be able to enjoy their time on the attraction with little or possibly no wait which is next to impossible during regular operating hours.

The cost of the Frozen Ever After will be $79 per adult and $47 per child with it taking place on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week. A starting date has not yet been revealed, but the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party has its last scheduled date on July 14, 2017.

Please note that Disney has not yet released an official announcement on the “Frozen Ever After Dessert Party.” This could mean that changes are still possible, and it may not even happen at all, but it looks as if it is on the way.

Once Disney makes an announcement, guests will be able to book this event.

The Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is going to be one of those things that many people won’t be overly thrilled about. Some think the movie has taken over too much and that Frozen has more than its share of exposure at Walt Disney World, but that really isn’t true.

Taking a look around, Frozen is right on par with many other movies such as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and many others in the Disney Parks.

When the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party ends, it will likely be a moment that Walt Disney World‘s brass begins to get excited. Obviously, there needed to be a change and creating the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is a great way to make things new and fresh and probably drum up more income. Being able to enjoy desserts during Illuminations and then ride one of the busiest attractions in all the parks with little to no wait? Sounds like a deal as awesome as a warm hug.
