Leah Messer Announces Plans To Release A Book On Twitter

Leah Messer announced big plans on Twitter days ago, and Teen Mom 2 fans are going to be thrilled.

On June 10, Leah Messer took to Twitter where she spoke of her parenting journey and ultimately announced plans to release a book about the past several years of her life.

“I’ve watched since you where pregnant with the twins, I’ve cried and laughed right along with you, you’re one strong momma!” a fan wrote to Messer.

“Thank you sooo much! It’s been one hell of a journey! I’ll say that much. I’m just grateful for everything!! I wouldn’t be where I am today!” Messer responded.

Leah Messer started her reality television career on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant when she was expecting her twin girls with her ex-boyfriend, Corey Simms. Then, after welcoming Ali and Aleeah, now 7, in late 2009, Messer went on to appear on MTV’s Teen Mom 2 and has been featured in a full-time role alongside Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska ever since.

As her Twitter activity continued with several re-tweets, a fan asked Leah Messer about her potential plans to follow in the footsteps of her Teen Mom 2 co-stars, Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry, by releasing a book.

“Are you writing a book on how you made it through your obstacles?” the fan asked.

“I will, yes!” she wrote.

Leah Messer has faced a ton of obstacles since the start of her reality run. As fans will recall, Messer’s seven-year-old daughter Ali suffers from muscular dystrophy and can’t always play with her sisters for long periods of time. Although the child has certainly done better than doctors predicted in recent years, she is expected to be reliant on a wheelchair as she grows older.

In addition to her daughter’s health struggles, Leah Messer has faced a number of relationship problems in recent years. In fact, she’s been divorced twice and shares her three children with two different men, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert.

Leah Messer and Corey Simms tied the knot in 2010 but divorced in 2011 after Messer admitted to having an affair with Robbie Kidd just days before they tied the knot. Then, one year later, Leah Messer married her second husband Jeremy Calvert, but again, amid allegations of an affair with Kidd, the couple split in late 2014.

Leah Messer appears to be in a health and happy place, but just two years ago, the reality star and mother of three faced mental health struggles and ultimately checked into an Arizona rehab center to cope with anxiety and depression.

While rumors at the time suggested Leah Messer was actually treating a drug addition after being seen nodding off and slurring her words on Teen Mom 2, Messer insisted that was not the case during an appearance on The Steve Harvey Show.

“Treatment isn’t only for addiction. Treatment facilities aren’t just for addicts. Jeremy knew where I was going and why, but I could not be open with Corey because anything and everything was tried to be used against me in a negative light even it was for the better,” Messer explained, according to a report by In Touch Weekly magazine.

“No one comes back from treatment 100 percent! It takes a lot of work and willingness!”

To see more of Leah Messer and her family, tune into the upcoming premiere of Teen Mom 2 Season 8, which is set to return to MTV this summer, along with new cast member Briana DeJesus. A premiere date has not yet been set.
