Meghan Markle Makes Her First Public Appearance Post-Pippa Middleton's Wedding, And It's Not With Prince Harry

Meghan Markle arrived in Austin, Texas, on Saturday minus her royal boyfriend, Prince Harry. And on Sunday, she made her first public appearance since her not-photographed appearance at Pippa Middleton's wedding reception as British royal prince's plus-one.

The American actress attended the ATX Television Festival in Austin along with her Suits co-stars. Meghan Markle, who plays Rachel Zane on the series, and her co-stars participated in a live script reading of the pilot episode. Entertainment Weekly (EW) reported that Meghan Markle admitted that she was nervous while reading her character's scene from the pilot episode, which aired on June 23, 2011.

It is the scene where Rachel tells Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) about her struggle with LSAT. The 35-year-old actress remembered that it was her audition scene.

Moreover, Meghan Markle also recalled that Suits cast had been to the same corporate housing, which meant they were not only working together but also living together, according to EW.

"We had that group email the other day, and I was saying we'd all been to the same corporate housing, so on top of working together, we were all living together. Which makes a whole different dynamic, I think. It just became this family right out of the gate."
Suits original cast members Gabriel Macht (Havey Specter), Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty (Donna), Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt), Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson), and creator Aaron Korsh were also present at the event.
And, speaking of Suits Season 7, which premieres on July 12, Meghan Markle said that her character now had a place at the firm and she knew her standing, adding that it was because of her status as an associate and not just because she was a good researcher.
"She's [Rachel] worked so hard and I love that, as a role model, how she's been crafted to balance it all and now have this place at the firm where she really knows her standing and her office isn't just because she's a good researcher — it's because she's an associate. She's really earned that spot."
Meghan Markle attended the event wearing a simple-yet-elegant pink floral dress, and she wore her hair down.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Patrick J. Adam told Entertainment Tonight that he was "very, very happy" for Meghan Markle, who plays his character's love interest on Suits.
"Meghan and I have been such good friends for years now and to see her so happy is great. She's super excited. I'm super happy for her and she's been such a pro in this season and it's going so well."

The actor, however, has yet to meet Prince Harry. Patrick J. Adams, who is directing the 100th episode of Suits, said that no one would like to visit a set as it was like a workplace. He also joked that he would put in the hours to rope in Prince Harry for a cameo appearance on Suits.

"I'll put in the hours. I'm sure it's super easy and uncomplicated," the actor said.

Suits Season 7 might be the final season for Meghan Markle, who began dating the British Royal Prince in summer of last year. According to reports, Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the British throne, is set to propose to her by the end of the year. And as a royal fiancee, it will be difficult for her to continue playing her part on the hit legal drama series.

Meghan Markle, however, is very much part of Suits Season 7. On Twitter, Aaron Korsh recently confirmed that while replying to a fan's question regarding her.

Earlier this month, Meghan Markle did not accompany Prince Harry on his trip to Singapore and Australia because of Suits Season 7's filming and promotion schedule.
